RED VELVET COLLECTION - BORIS KRAMER SCULPTURE

Marilyn Monroe

Boris Kramer Sculptures was selected by Pacific Licensing, the exclusive agency representing the Red Velvet images of Marilyn Monroe by Tom Kelley Studios.

Gary Saal, President of Pacific Licensing states, “Boris Kramer is a very talented artist that was given free rein to use his interpretation of the photographic images of Marilyn Monroe and has certainly added another dimension to these famous images. In Boris’s first creation of Marilyn Monroe from Tom Kelley Studios, he has certainly achieved a remarkable piece of art that actually enhances the timeless beauty of these images and settings. I can’t wait to see how he does the other images!

Boris Kramer, through his father Richard Kramer, learned the blacksmithing techniques that his father has used throughout his career. Now Boris is applying his own hand to an historic way of making art from low carbon steel. He uses low carbon steel because it is less brittle than higher carbon steels, resulting in less breakage during forging. Each piece is created according to a specific design but each piece varies slightly, in its shape, surface texture and expression. Since each sculpture is handmade, each is unique and cannot be exactly reproduced.

The first sculpture is of Pose #2 and is limited to 300 pieces and comes with a certificate of authenticity and is marked with a specific number on the bottom of the steel base. The sculpture stands 15” high.

The retail price is $245.00 and will be shipped from Ontario, Canada which is where the Kramer Studio is located.
